Our 2023-2024 Season!

You’re Gonna Love Tomorrow

The hidden gems of Stephen Sondheim's canon reclaim the spotlight in this marvelously understated overview of the career of Broadway's reigning genius. Originally performed at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City, You're Gonna Love Tomorrow played two sold-out performances and included surprise performances from Angela Lansbury and Sondheim himself.

The exhilarating work represented here is nothing short of a revelation: the appealing melodies and astonishing craft of his first unproduced Broadway musical, written in his early twenties; the gut-busting numbers that didn't make it into A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum; the stark beauty of Pacific Overtures; the sweeping romanticism of Anyone Can Whistle; and a heartrendingly gorgeous ballad from his adaptation of The Frogs, originally staged in the Yale University swimming pool.

If you like Sondheim, you're gonna love You're Gonna Love Tomorrow.

Seussical

The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust that contains the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many "thinks." Horton faces a double challenge: not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.
